These are the tenets for kindel.com and KLD. If you want to write a set for your own work, the Tenets app can help.

  1. Make Better Leaders for a Bigger Future. kindel.com exists to make the world better and help humanity become multi-planetary by sharing what I've been blessed to learn. Success is people applying KLD to build, lead, and teach more effectively, not revenue earned from them.
  2. Give the Good Stuff Away. Useful knowledge wants practitioners, not customers. Publish enough of KLD for someone to understand it, apply it, challenge it, and teach it without paying me.
  3. Commitment Matters More Than Payment. Coaching, teaching, and mentoring are ways of giving back; money is useful when it creates stronger bidirectional commitment. Prefer the engagement structure that produces the best work together, whether it is paid or free.
  4. Office Hours Are the Front Door. When someone wants to go deeper, a real conversation beats a sales funnel. Office hours make access easy; coaching, training, and mentoring follow when deeper engagement creates more value.
  5. Make Practitioners, Not Followers. The goal is people who use KLD, improve it, and pass what works to others. Reach and recognition matter only when they increase the useful spread of the ideas.
  6. Show the Work. KLD earns trust through specific mechanisms, examples, artifacts, and experience, not claims about leadership expertise. Give people evidence they can judge and tools they can use.
  7. Make KLD Effortless. The depth of KLD is an asset; the complexity of finding, understanding, and using it is not. Prefer simple paths, obvious language, and low-friction experiences over exposing the structure and complexity underneath.
  8. KLD First, Whole Tig Too. kindel.com is primarily a home for KLD, but the nerdery, projects, hobbies, and accomplishments are part of the brand, not clutter to hide. Give them room to humblebrag, delight, and reveal the person behind the work without making visitors hunt for KLD.

Unless you know better ones.
